What’s the best time of year to book a flight to Europe if you’re going in October? Cheapest fares?

I’m looking to book a honeymoon to Paris and Florence for my October wedding. Looking at fares online, I’m not sure if they’ll go up or down before then. Does anyone know the best time to book a flight to Europe? What’s a good price from Boston to Paris?

Prices depend more on the time of year in which you are travelling rather than the time of year you book. It’s a little far off, but start looking. Because of competition, Tuesday and Wednesday are the best days of the week to look. Join as many airmiles programs that you can and you will get emails about special fares. Sometimes as low as 400 roundtrip. Expect to pay anywhere from 600-800.
kayak.com is the best site I have found for air travel. It searches all the other large engines – orbitz, cheaptickets, etc. – for the lowest prices available.

    Use orbitz.com. If you save my trips and set a price, you will be able to see when the fares are the cheapest. There are certain times where airlines will offer cheap prices and if you have the trip saved, orbitz will let you know.

  5. February always seems to be a good month to book travel to Europe from the East Coast. I booked in February 2006 for a December 2006 trip and got 7 nights in Rome, one meal daily, plus air for two for less than 2300 on Delta.
