    Its 20,000 feet up and spread out so you cant see it try flying a airliner through it at 500+ mph for a few hours and see what happens.

    I have just read that the last time this volcano erupted was in 1821 and it erupted for 2 years…..so are we going to stop all flights for 2 years if this is the case??? I hope not lol

    Europe will become a place to avoid rather than a place to visit or live :(
    Im due to get the ash in a few hours as i live in london….got my facemasks ready lol.

    The media originally said it posed no threat to human health…now they are saying stay indoors if it smells funny WTF

    It is a form of volcanic glass, akin to Pele’s Tears (Google it). The rapid cooling in the glacier causes it to shatter into microfine particles which are easily carried aloft by rising steam. That’s why I was so annoyed that the report didn’t explain it very well. (I used to live on a volcano, when I was a kid, in Hawai’i. Goin’ back real soon, too!). =’[.]‘=
