Iceland’s volcanic ash halts flights across Europe

LONDON An ash cloud from Iceland’s spewing volcano halted air traffic across a wide swath of Europe on Thursday, grounding planes on a scale unseen since the 2001 terror attacks as authorities stopped all flights over Britain, Ireland and the Nordic countries.

    @saevaroa Iceland has all weathers and nature shows all her sides here . Cold, rainy, windy, volcano, earthquakes, avalanches, daytime darkness in winter and the midnight sun in summer. We have clean water and you can drink directly from the rivers here. We also have aurora borealis and amazing starry nights in wintertime. Don’t forget about the Trolls, elves, hidden people and ghosts. We have amazing viking history and Iceland is truly a land of magic

    The old vikings only call Iceland this name so that other vikings would rather go to Greenland. :-) Also if you think about it we have Europes biggest glacier here and we have many other glaciers here as well. But we also have volcanos and earhquakes. Actually because of the gulf stream it is not as cold as some people think.
