lol it seemed that each place had it’s quirks… in the england photos there were all the wax figures, in italy it was all the model cows, greece the feral animals esp. cats lol

I went back to …
I went back to France in 2001 and stayed in some budget places as well. I was okay because I already knew what to expect and I put myself into my “European” mentality. It was my husband that had a hard time! He didn’t like the bathrooms or the beds – in Paris we stayed in a little (very old) place with two tiny beds right next to the drip drip of the bathroom, so I know your torture! – roc

i once lived in a budget apartment on a busy street. there was a loose manhole cover and every time a car ran over it, the clunk sound was horrid. not much sleeping there.

haha we didn’t stay in them, but we travelled around so much in 5 countries all the way from australia, that it woulda got very expensive if we stayed in 4 star hotels everywhere!

i just thought of a story that happened in rome that i can imagine you would absolutely hate happening to you. when we went to europe it wasn’t about luxury, it was about sightseeing.. therefore, we stayed in very budget hotels.. (i hear u thinking “uh oh” now).. in rome we stayed in a place where my bed was right next to the bathroom. and in it there was this leaking tap, drip-dripping ALL night. it DROVE ME INSANE!!! no 1 else could hear it xcept me. talk about water torture, i couldn’t sleep!
