Fancy a holiday on the open road?
The older generation is changing the face of the UK travel market. More mature travellers are now using their growing disposable income to see more of the world than ever before. Whether it’s a long over due ‘gap year’ trip, a short break in Europe or the UK or a summer holiday, this age group have travel in their DNA!
And holiday companies are adapting to provide the over 50s market with packages and trips that reflect this wanderlust. Just as the younger market are looking for more from a holiday than two weeks on a sun lounger, so the same applies for the older travellers.
Coach trips have long been associated with the mature holiday market but they are now going through a transformation to ensure their continued popularity. The appeal of these tours has always been that people can see all the sights and attractions of an area in a short space of time and now there are trips to France, Russia, the Italian Riviera, the Adriatic as well as excursions closer to home in Scotland, Ireland and England.
WA Shearings, the UKs leading operator in over 50s holidays, is offering a raft of changes to improve the experience for their customers including a convenient door-to-door transfer service. The changes are being introduced in the new The Best Coach Holidays to Britain & Ireland and The Best Coach Holidays to Europe brochures which also sees prices reduced for Summer 2007 and over 30 new or revised tours to Europe alone.
Judith Chalmers and Karen Gee from WA Shearings join us live online on Friday 27th October at 3pm to find out where you could end up on your travels
