What are the most commonly celebrated holidays in europe?


For the Netherlands almost the same list as for Norway.
Christmas and N Y eve and New Year are the biggest, I guess, but Queens day, the celebration of the birthday of the queen, still held on her mothers birthday, might well be the most popular besides.
Easter is likely the next which is also a national holiday.

  1. It differs somewhat by country. Normally I wouldn’t source Wikipedia, but it works fine for statistical information and lists:

    Here in Norway, most of the public holidays are religious (Easter, Christmas, Pentacost). The biggest celebration is probably the 17th May, which is the national day here, and New Year’s.
