Where in europe would you recommend going, on a 2 week lads holiday?

My friends and i are planning 2 weeks away in europe as a celebration before we start university. We will be buying a 2 week euro rail ticket and will be traveling in the summer of 2011. We would appreciate any recommendations of places to visit (obviously Amsterdam is high on our list). Or any handy tips.

Why Amsterdam? Try Paris, Prague,London,Moscow,Saint Petersburg,Venice,Rome,etc
