Taped in Stockholm in 1986 at the beginning of the band’s huge success with the single of this song, it was also the only professionally-shot full-length concert that featured John Norum before he left the band at the end of that year.

Episode 1: “Get the Graf Spee”, first part

This episode deals with the short combat career of the pocket battleship the “Graf Spee” before she was engaged by the Royal Navy and eventually scuttled by her crew off the coast of Montevideo. I’m not really sure what the Graf Spee has to do with the war in Europe, but who am I to argue with Mr. Cronkite?

The video’s a little sketchy for this first part, but that’s what you get for watching a documentary stored on 25 year old video cassettes.

My collection of this series is all on Beta tapes apparently once purchased by my parents.
